Einstein’s after-school program extends the school day. The program is absolutely free and includes the tutoring and homework support, as well as a variety of enrichment activities.
Tutoring and Homework Support
Tutoring from 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm provided by Einstein teachers, college-age tutors from Sac State and UC Davis, and The Center’s staff.
Homework Club for students with GPAs above 3.0 who need a space in which to complete their homework, also from 2:45 pm to 3:45 pm.
The Sacramento Theater Company extends the language arts school day by directing plays that Einstein students are reading in their language arts classes. (2:45-3:45 pm, focus on seventh grade the first semester and eighth grade the second semester. Starts in October.)
A poetry program affiliated with UC Davis and Sacramento Area Youth Speaks that meets from 3:45 to 4:45 year-round.
A vocational education program affiliated with Sacramento Area Electrical Apprenticeship Program that provides hands-on career training and math instruction. (3:45-4:45)
A first semester cheer-leading program that prepares Einstein students to dance and cheer. The cheerleaders will perform at Einstein’s basketball games.
A second-semester dance program that builds on the skills taught in cheerleading during the first semester.
