Ms. Lor’s Science Club is a space for Einstein’s students to explore, discover, and create. It is with the Science Club that students head off to Folsom Dam to explore the natural environment and visit the Academy of Sciences to build their sense of wonder while learning about astronomy, the ocean’s depths, or even the origin of humanity. Science Club students also participate in weekly lunch meeting in which they engage in more hands-on science.
The Science Club will be promoting its “No Idling” campaign. The club is asking drivers to turn off their cars while waiting to pick up students after school, even though the weather is getting warmer.
Last year, the Science Club won $35000 for the Native Plant Learning Garden in front of the school through Project Green!
They just finished a proposal to Project Green aimed at modernizing Einstein’s bathrooms (circa 1965) to make them more water and energy efficient. They are partnering with California American Water to pay for the modernization.
