CAASP Testing May 9th – May 20th
This year your student will be taking the computer-based test called the Smarter Balanced Summative Assessment (SBAC). This year-end test is part of the California assessment system and is aligned with California’s academic standards, which are the things we want students to know and be able to do. The goal of the standards is to have students graduate ready for college and a career.
These tests in English language arts/literacy (ELA), Mathematics and Science give educators across the state a way to see how well students can write clearly, think critically, and solve problems, which are some of the skills that are needed to succeed in college and a 21st century career.
Testing at Albert Einstein will begin on Monday, May 9th. The schedule will change during the two week testing timeline. Please see the schedule below:
Block Schedule May 9th – May 20th
Monday and Wednesday: Periods 1, 3 and 5
Tuesday and Friday: Periods 2, 4 and 6
Thursday: Regular schedule – all 6 classes
It is really important that students attend school daily during these two weeks and arrive on time. If you have any questions, please call the office or email your child’s teacher.
